I want to take a moment and praise the Faith Community Church team. They are a hardworking bunch of people. I catch them serving in the community, serving in the nursery, children's church, among our student ministry, cooking meals for school sponsored events, along with other things.
Many pastors complain about how the people in their church will not work. Our people work a lot. Not only do they work but they do so joyfully. It makes me proud to serve as their pastor. It seems wherever I look up somebody from our church is serving in some capacity at church and in the community.
I want to praise the team. They are the backbone of Faith Community Church. I may stand on the stage each Sunday but they are the ones who make the dream work. They are creative team players without any agendas. They sacrifice not only their time but also their finances. They are worker bees who deflect praise to others neither wanting nor needing special recognition.
My hat goes off to Faith Community Church. They take meeting in a warehouse, not having a worship minister, not having a youth pastor, and not having a children's minister all in stride. They are adapt at moving chairs as we use our limited space for multi-purposes. We have tried new things and succeeded and tried a few things and failed. These people keep getting back up and trying again. Thank you Faith Community Church for giving God and this community your best.
