Meditations On Psalm 145

What has God done for you? What reasons do you have to extol and praise His name today? What mighty acts have you seen Him do? How has He sustained you in the difficult times? When did He bring you out of the miry clay and pit of destruction? In what ways has God worked wonders in and around your life?
One generation declares the praises of God and His greatness to the next generation. Can you think of anything passes on to you about God's faithfulness from grandparents or parents? Are you passing on these same things to your grand children and children? Everyday there is a reason to praise Him.
Even in the tough times. I know many of you are living in those tough times now. Tough times never last but tough people do. Just ask those who fought in WWII or lived through the Great Depression. They can testify of works of God in very trying times. Look at those devastated by floods and fires. Many lost everything except their lives. They can praise God for life.
Many mourn the deaths of spouses, parents, children and the hole in their hearts aches daily. The saved can praise God for the gift of eternal life. The grieving can praise God for HIs comfort and strength to get through each day. God does not abandon those in their grief and sorrow. He is there each step of every day. He is the only one who can heal broken and shattered hearts.
So let me ask you to pause in your day and mediate on what God has done for you. Think of the many things you can praise God for doing in your life. Contemplate the many things you have to be thankful for. This is what I did during my quiet time today reading and meditating on Psalm 145. What an amazing God and what a privilege to testify for Him.
