I preached and wrote the truth and it offended,
Love once offered now no longer is extended,
Hard truth found in the pages of the Bible,
Truth down through the years proven reliable,
Truth to comfort, exhort as well as to convict,
Truth to guide, counsel and future to predict,
Truth that cuts the heart down to the soul,
Truth to make the broken healed and whole,
Yet truth is not always welcomed by people,
Even those sitting under the church steeples,
Pastors and Prophets have all been rejected,
Due to hard truth when preached and detected,
God's truth is truth for all times and all ages,
No matter how the crowds reject and rages.
